The Sun Valley Culinary Institute is pleased to offer free tours, open to the general public, every Thursday at 10am. Come see why we have become one of the most important and entertaining sites to visit in the Wood River Valley. 11/25: Turkey Trot
One of the most popular holiday traditions in the Wood River Valley is the 18th annual Turkey Trot held on Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, November 25.  The 5K Fun Run and Walk, sponsored by The Chamber – Hailey & Wood River Valley, is a great community event and is extremely popular with locals and visitors alike. Learn More»

11/26+27: Artists’ Holiday Open Studio Days
Twelve established artists from our valley will open their studios to the public, including Marie Stewart, Gordon Webster, Mark Sheehan, David Rau, Lisa Horton, Narda Pitkethly, Mary Rolland, MaryBeth Flowers, Jennifer Bellinger, Pamela Street, Karen Jacobsen and Lisa Holley. There will be art for sale, as well as the leisure to discuss techniques and inspiration with the artists themselves. Learn More»


12/4: Tacos, Tequila + Telescopes - A Dark Sky Event Presented by Hotel Ketchum + Barrio75
We've partnered up with Barrio75 to celebrate the Super New Moon and Geminids Meteor Shower with a special Dark Sky Event! Join us Saturday, December 4th at 6:00 PM in The Backyard for a special presentation with Idaho native and Dark Sky Guide, Chris Anderson, who will guide us through the wonders of the night sky with a telescope and a star projection map. Refreshments* will be served. This event is suitable for all ages. Personal binoculars and telescopes are also welcome. *Cocoa, coffee, cider + cookies included. The 49th annual Zions Bank Boulder Mountain Tour will take place in person in Ketchum, Idaho on Saturday, February 5. Due to the popularity of last year’s virtual event, “Our Boulder, Your Backyard,” participants may opt to ski on a course of their choice between February 1-6. Learn More»

Hailey, Idaho, offers up perhaps the most quintessential small town 4th of July celebration in the West. Three days of events for car enthusiasts, sponsors and guests. Highlights include runs with no-speed limit at Phantom Hill, the Huckleberry Drive from Ketchum to Smiley Creek Lodge, hosted sponsor events, test drives, a Car Show, and Cars & Comedy, the chief fundraising event of the weekend. 7/24: Sturtevants’ Standhope Ultra Challenge

#SVG6 will feature 20+ live performances from national, regional, and local acts at Sawtooth Valley Pioneer Park on August 6-7, 2021. Live music will also be produced August 5 -8 at Mountain Village Resort’s – Velvet Falls Dance Hall. This summer marks the 54th edition of the Sun Valley Arts & Crafts Festival. Taking place in beautiful Atkinson Park in downtown Ketchum, the festival welcomes 130 professional artists and craftspeople to the Wood River Valley. This festival is a juried, outdoor, fine arts and crafts show that is completely free and open to the public. 9/2-6: Wagon Days
In 1958, a few hundred spectators attended what would grow to become one of the largest non-motorized parades in the Pacific Northwest - The Wagon Days Big Hitch Parade! Today, over fifteen thousand people flock to Ketchum to watch this historical parade and celebrate the western heritage it represents. Course starts at the YMCA, heads south on the bike path, turns left into Elkhorn, climbs over Elkhorn and back down to Sun Valley Rd. Then it takes a right turn on the bike path toward Trail Creek and does an out and back before heading back into Ketchum and finishes at the town square. Learn More »


10/6+7: Crafted at Barrio 75
CRAFTED is offering seasonal classes for participants to learn hands on from artists and makers, as well as enjoy signature cocktails and great food. The inaugural event is a Dried Floral Wreath class with Brenna Cavanaugh of Floret Design Studio.
